There are 27 Tiger reserves identified by Project Tiger in India. Apart from these 27 tiger reserves, there are 16 Biosphere reserves which have been identified for conservation. Some of these biospheres which are also tiger reserves are: Manas (Assam) , Similipal (Orissa), Sunderbans (West Bengal)
In all, India has 92 National Parks, 355 Wild Life Sanctuaries, 28 Tiger Reserves, 16 Biosphere Reserves, 4 Coral Reefs and 34 Mangrooves. India has been blessed with more than 500 different wildlife mammals, and more than 2000 species and subspecies of birds. A lot of adrenaline!!!
